TEST METHOD OF FUNCTIONING TEMPERATURE

Test Method

Connect the two leads of the test specimen to the clamps of the testing equipment, and apply a test current of approximately 10 mA (with a maximum not exceeding 100 mA), using an LED to indicate the presence of the test current. First stabilize the glycerin bath temperature at TF–10°C (the glycerin bath should be equipped with a stirrer to ensure uniform temperature distribution, and the heating rate should be controllable). Then immerse the test specimen in the glycerin bath, ensuring that the thermometer probe is positioned as close as possible to the specimen. Gradually increase the glycerin bath temperature at a rate of 0.5 to 1°C per minute. When the LED turns off, record the thermometer reading; this value represents the actuation temperature of the test specimen. (If a glycerin bath testing apparatus is unavailable, the test may also be conducted in a thermostatic chamber equipped with forced-air circulation; however, it is essential to ensure that the thermometer probe is in close contact with the specimen to obtain accurate results.)

 

TEST METHOD

The sample is connected to the equipment fixture and placed in an oil bath maintained at a temperature of TF–10°C (the oil bath shall be equipped with a stirrer and temperature control). A test current of approximately 10 mA is passed through the sample, and a thermometer is positioned in close proximity to the sample to monitor the opening temperature. The oil-bath temperature is raised at a rate of 0.5 to 1°C per minute until the sample functions. (If the test is conducted in an oven (with forced air circulation), ensure that the thermometer is placed immediately adjacent to the sample to obtain accurate test results.)
